DANIEL JOHNS ILLUSTRATION

I had an old sketch of Daniel Johns lying around, so I thought I'd do something different with it. It only took about an hour & I was happy with the result, a bit of fun.

Check out my new website - www.judynadin

I've finally built myself a website. It showcases my caricature, illustration & design work. I had loads of fun putting it together. Gift caricatures are available for commission, I also have celebrity caricature prints available.

RIP LOU REED

2013 STANLEY AWARDS & ROTARY CARTOON AWARDS 25TH ANNIVERSARY

The Australian Cartoon associations annual conference was held last weekend, what fun we all had. I was fortunate enough to receive a nomination for caricaturist of the year. Congratulations to one of my fave artists, David Rowe, for taking it out. I also scored the runners up prize in the caricature section of the Rotary cartoon awards. The field was very strong, so this was a great honour. The winning caricature was of Prince William, Kate Middleton & baby George, complete with poo face & snot bubble.

WATER COLOUR PORTRAIT

I painted this watercolour a couple of years ago. It's of my friend's son. Something different for me.

BALD ARCHYS 2013

Well it's that time of the year again. The Bald Archy's .... the wonderfully naughty exhibition that gives we humourous painting people an opportunity to showcase our work. This year I did Russell Crowe as his Les Mis character. He is basically ear assaulting his poor horse with his singing. It's call "There's no business, like Crowe business. My other entry is of Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson. It's called "Til Death do us part" & is a parody of the famous painting "American Gothic" It was fun painting large scale acrylic again. I don't do it enough. SEE YA! The Bald Archys exhibition is on right now. Check it out.

MARILYN MONROE

I have FINALLY painted a picture on my Cintiq. I have been using it constantly for work, but not much for fun stuff. I wanted to paint Marilyn Monroe as I see her. Not just the sex symbol, but the vulnerable & wounded woman that she was.
